This policy covers the CornerMask app and its Apple Photos editing extension from Marco Polo Research Lab LLC.
Photo processing stays on your device
CornerMask processes selected photos on your device. It requires no CornerMask account and includes no advertising, analytics, or tracking.
CornerMask does not upload your photos, face detections, masks, or edit settings to the developer or an external processing service.
Apple’s on-device face detection locates regions for pixelation. Detections and masks are used for your edit and are not uploaded by CornerMask.
Temporary working copies
When you choose a photo or file, CornerMask may keep a temporary working copy inside its private app storage. A working copy is removed when replaced. Remaining temporary files are subject to operating system cleanup.
The app stores edited images only when you choose to save them.
Saved photo metadata
A saved image can retain supported source metadata, including the date, camera details, and EXIF location where present. Orientation is applied to the pixels.
Review the source photo’s metadata when you decide what to share. Pixelation conceals selected image regions; it does not remove source metadata.
Apple Photos and iCloud
Saved images use your Apple Photos library. Photos and iCloud may synchronize images according to your Apple account and Photos settings. Apple’s privacy policies and your settings govern those services.
The Photos extension stores the rendered edit and an adjustment recipe through Apple Photos. A recognized edit can be reopened and adjusted. Apple’s normal Photos edit workflow manages your original photo.
This website and support email
This app policy is separate from the website policy. These web pages use the LoopAware traffic pixel and shared website assets. The app does not include that website measurement.
The Website privacy policy covers this website and information you send to us. If you email support, we receive your email address and message.
